EARLY TICKETS ON SALE FOR SUPERCHEAP AUTO
BATHURST 1000
22/03/2007: Some of the most sought after
sporting tickets in the land go on sale on
April 2 allowing Australians the early
chance to secure their place on the Mountain
for the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.
The legendary Australian icon at Mount
Panorama from October 4-7 celebrates its
45th year in 2007, marking some of the
greatest years, milestones and moments in
sporting history.
One of those was last year with the
emotional tribute to the great Peter Brock
when 193,000 fans turned out to pay their
last respects and prodigy Craig Lowndes with
team-mate Jamie Whincup held aloft the Peter
Brock Trophy for the first time.
With V8 Supercars going from strength to
strength and a record amount of television
with new broadcast partner Seven, the
Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is set for
another memorable year.
“It truly is one of the world’s greatest
sporting events,” said V8 Supercar Events
General Manager Shane Howard.
“It’s not just a race. It’s an experience.
It’s an amazing atmosphere, and for those
that get to experience it live, it’s an
event that they never forget.”
Again some 32,000 people will camp on the
Mountain itself while extra grandstands,
dedicated family areas and the popular motor
home park will all return.
On the track the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series
will headline the support program
guaranteeing plenty of action throughout the
four-day mega carnival.
V8SCE is rewarding regular grandstand
patrons with the opportunity to purchase
their exact 2006 seats prior to public sale.
The priority period will run from 9am Monday
2nd April through to 7pm Sunday April 15
2007.
Tickets for the opening period will be the
same price as last year’s. Tickets will only
be available from call centres and outlets.
Customers will not be able to purchase
tickets via the Internet during this
priority period.
In order to receive the same seat allocation
as 2006 customers will either need to know
their account number or the exact name of
the person who purchased the tickets last
year. You cannot order any extra tickets or
change seat allocation during this period.
Any remaining grandstand seats will be
released for sale Monday April 16th through
Ticketek 132 849, all Ticketek outlets and
online at
www.ticketek.com.au
You contact Ticketek for tickets or to find
